April 2012
Hello Robinson Community!
I would like to begin my message this month by acknowledging our outstanding Robinson faculty! The week of May 7 is Teacher Appreciation Week. Please take a moment to think about how fortunate we are to be sending our children to such an outstanding academic institution, with so many superb teachers. Our faculty is the foundation upon which this great school thrives.
Thank you Robinson faculty and staff!
I hope you plan to attend our final General Membership meeting of the school year on May 10th at 7pm in the Recital Hall. Local law enforcement officers will discuss safety awareness. Given the recent attacks, we feel it is critical to offer a session which will help the members of our community protect themselves. This is not to be missed! Also at this meeting, we will elect our officers for next year and we will vote on the preliminary 2012-2013 PTSA budget.
As I mentioned last month, the 2nd Annual Fall Marketplace is scheduled for Saturday, November 10. The vendor application will be released on May 22 and are due by June 15. Visit http://robinsonptsa.org/marketplace.html to learn more about this event.
I am pleased to report that our first Meet a Professional Night was a big success. The PTSA co-sponsored this event with the Academic Booster Club on April 19th. Thank you to the 12 professionals who met with interested students and to all the students who took time out their busy schedules to participate in this event. We look forward to holding this event next spring!
As a reminder, the PTSA will host a reception to honor the recipients of the People’s Choice Awards on May 29 at 3pm in the Blue Cafeteria. Please join us in recognizing members of the Robinson school community who have done an outstanding job promoting positive human relations in school.
So many people continue to work hard behind the scenes to support all the various PTSA efforts. I am in awe how smoothly it all works. Thank you all!
As always, it is my pleasure to serve the entire Robinson community!
