Membership
Robinson PTSA does not do many fundraising projects. Our money is obtained through memberships, directory sales and one major fundraiser every year. Hence, we encourage all parents, teachers and students of the Robinson Secondary School community to become members of Robinson's PTSA. Robinson is known for its ability to stretch the dollar to help students and teachers, and educate parents.
In the 2008-2009 school year, the Robinson PTSA provided two high quality programs for Robinson parents, teachers and students, one of the Fairfax County Public Schools grading policy and Fairgrade, another on Internet Safety un conjunction with the Virginia PTA, Northern District PTA, Enough is Enough and the Verizon Foundation, provided the matching funds for a special assembly on October 8th for 700 students (7th, 8th and 11th grades) titled, "Through the Eyes of Langston Hughes" by Charles Williams and Tom Teasley from Young Audiences Arts for Learning of VIrginia, awarded scholarships, providing funding for school publications, clubs and leadership opportunities amongst other acheivements. Please help us to promote the welfare of our children at home, school and in the community; to raise the standards of home life; to secure adequate laws for the care and protection of children and youth; to bring into closer relation the home and the school that parents and teachers may cooperate intelligently in the education of children and youth; and to develop between educators and the general public such united efforts which will secure for all children and youth the highest advantages in physical, mental, social and spiritual education.
