The Robinson Secondary School PTSA is comprised of an Executive Committee which includes the five (5) elected officers, the Committee Chairmen, the Subschool Coordinators and the Principal.
The local unit is the most important division of PTA. All other divisions exist to serve the local PTA. The local PTA is organized and chartered by the state PTA in accordance with authority granted to the state by National PTA bylaws. The state PTA bylaws are approved and adopted by delegates at the annual state convention. The procedures and requirements for the organization of local associations are set forth in the state bylaws, but it is a self-governing body. Standing rules are adopted by the local unit. The local PTA plans its programs and activities to meet the needs of children and youth in its own school and community. Guidelines and program aids are offered by the national and state PTA to help local units plan their programs and projects. The local unit promotes those, which meet the needs of their community.
Robinson's PTSA is governed by a set of bylaws and standing rules. The PTSA also has an approved budget.
